News BACK
Last Friday marked the Rams’ first loss of the season. After an intense match against the Woodlawn Warriors, the game ended in a 97-77 defeat. From the outset of the match, it was obvious that the Warriors had come equipped with the firepower necessary to subdue the Rams. The momentum grew in the second half due to a 3-point buzzer beater by Woodlawn’s Corey Thomas to end the first half. By the end of the third quarter, the Warriors managed to build up a 75-51 lead. With many players in foul trouble, it was easy for Woodlawn to act as the aggressors and dominate in the second half.
Malik Smalls and Nick Doolin led all scoring with 15 points each; Jeremy Smith was not far off, contributing 10 points, followed by Ricki Mitchell who dropped 6 points. Chaz Sharpe, the leading scorer of the opening match, was held to 5 points. The next game will be away against Franklin High School.
